Only issue with ours is sometimes it closes all the way and sometimes it only closes about 3 4 of the way.
It still prevents air from entering or exiting the home but the advantage to the top damper is that it seals air off at the top of the chimney which is more energy efficient.
Overall i am happy with the damper and would recommend this to anyone looking for a chimney damper.

The damper closes all the way but due to it s design a very small amount of force can break the seal.
